I agree. It's funny how definitions vary, especially with love. This quote doesn't define love, but I believe it. I think that it makes love such an extraordinary thing.
(I want to add, because to me there's so many relational traps, fake love, around, that if you're not sure of yourself and what you want, it becomes easy to be deluded, and maybe someone could say that he or she is totally happy in a fake co-dependant love and that's ok with me, but personally i want the perfect sincerity in any of my relationships [with friendships too], the real deal where i know that i'm chosen for who i am and i chose in return, not by despair, not by default, but strongly and consciously.)
I really like this quote, it reminds me of the teachings of Deepak Chopra (The Path to Love- which I am taking a long time to read).
